The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), was established in 2001 to meet the training credentialing needs of professionals who work with individuals with special needs and cognitive disorders.
One of our agents is a Certified Autism Travel Professional (CTAP). This is defined as a professional who has demonstrated that they are both knowledgeable and capable of providing support and travel related services to an individual on the autism spectrum as well as their family. The CATP has gone through the IBCCES Certification program to specialize in autism related needs and accommodations specifically related to travel.
Many of the resorts and organizations we work with have received IBCCES Certified Autism Center designation. This designation is awarded only after completing rigorous training and meeting the highest industry standards.
IBCCES has designed a Sensory Guide™ rating and review for individual excursions and activities to allow the parents and participants to better understand what the activity entails and how it may affect an individual on the spectrum. This rating review is performed by therapists and autism experts and will be offered at participating resorts and destinations to ensure a more confident, safe and enjoyable experience.
